My sister had a lot of luck with ginger. She bought crystallized ginger to chew on, and kept ginger tea on hand. It helps to settle the stomach but can be a bit intense on the taste buds for some people. Mint tea can also be soothing, and is caffeine free.
I know other people who swore by tums and the BRAT diet. Bananas Rice Applesauce Toast. Also instead of Gatorade, or stuff of that variety, try something like Pedialyte that is made for kids. It has less sugar and no funky dyes in it.
