I enjoyed HP but I agree it left a lot out. And talk about rooting for the bad guy, I had to literally bite my tongue to keep from squealing with delight at Helena Bonham Carter's electro-shock hair.

I liked 1408 but hated the ending. I have to go back and re-read the story because I don't remember hating the ending that badly.

I'm half tempted to check out I Know Who Killed Me because it looks like it has potential for a decent mind f**k although I have little faith in Lohan's ability to pull off such a feat.

As for those movies we can't wait for in the upcoming months....

SWEENEY TODD!!! (kind of a big fan of HBC, me thinks)
Rob Zombie's Halloween weeeeeee
Fred Claus looks pretty freaking hilarious and definitely qualifies as mindless entertainment.
Pathology (because it was totally creepy how I had just finished telling someone I wanted to see Milo Ventimiglia in a serious thriller and then not ten minutes later I'm cruising around Rotten Tomatoes and BOOM there's Milo in a serious thriller due out November 27...now there's something to be thankful for *giggle*)
And that about sums it up.
I have a better question...why are they taking every last franchise from my childhood and making them into live action flicks?

coming up are

Thundercats
Voltron
GI Joe

Somebody please make it stop!!!

If they decide to do a live action Johnny Quest I will be done!
