Just remember that recs are not a free pass to a sorority. You are not guaranteed a bid because you have a rec, regardless of who may have written the rec on your behalf.

And if a chapter does not want upperclassmen, the rec is not going to make a difference.

Best of luck to you! If you can secure recs at all of the chapters, it will certainly elevate your name above the other PNMs coming in, especially if this is a campus that does not receive many recs.

But at the end of the day, your year in school and grades have much to do with early cuts, as well as your overall application (grades, activities, behaviors and the way you present yourself). Be a gracious guest at each sorority when you visit them, give them all a fair chance to wow you (just as you would want a fair shot at all of the sororities!) and have fun!
