Actually, Jay-Z said that "Super Ugly" was not a response to Nas' "Ether" (which, may I add, is the SHIZZZZNITTT!!)--it was "supposedly" a freestyle recording...
Whateva, maaaaan!! Like Sweetest Diva said, Nas is killing Jay on the lyrical tip, but Jay is killing Nas in record sales (which DO NOT necessarily represent how tight an artist is, may I add).
IMO, Jay "fell off" (aka "Sold Out") after his "Reasonable Doubt" CD...His older CD's have more lyrical content than "I love Girls, Girls, Girls" (WTF?? Could you NOT think of anything else to rap about besides girls, pimping, and your bling-bling?!
Nas gets mad respect for staying true to his art...
