Reconstructed Classical Pronunciation (before 300 BC/BCE)
Iotaiee (/i/) as in meet or y as in yetshort iota as i in it; long iota as ee (/i/) in meet
Theta thth as in thin (but not then); contrast delta aboveasperated t as in top (but not as in stop) Theta thth as in thin (but not then); contrast delta aboveasperated t as in top (but not as in stop) Etaeee (/i/) as in meete as in set, but held longer
