A tradition that a lot of people have in my chapter is making a wish jar for your little. You buy a jar and yellow and blue ribbons and tie the ribbon into bows. You fill up the jar with the bows and give it your little. Explain to her that to make a wish, she pulls out a bow and unties it and puts it back in the jar. When all the wishes are gone, you (the big) or someone else in your "family" have to retie all the bows (this part sucks!). A new variation that I've seen in putting inspirational quotes in with the wishes! They are really cute, and mean a lot to most of us!

Also, do you have a local mascot? Ours are the teddybear and the sunshine, so we usually buy lots of stuff dealing with the two of them.

Good luck!
