Besides myself, I have not seen even one fairly active GC member openly confess the Lord. If there are other believers here, they are afraid to take a righteous stand. But, that's okay; there will be a day of reckoning because as Jesus said in Mark 8:28: "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." (NKJV)
So let the haters and naysayers do what they do. Shake 'em off, and don't make the mistake of getting drawn in and dragged down to their level. What God has for ITE is for ITE.

This sure sounded like a blanket statement to me (and obviously to others) and a very judgemental one at that--fire and brimstone, rather than loving correction. And very honestly it was the fire and brimstone, and dogmatic messages that drove me away for Christianity and organized religion in general. I wonder how you feel about the Pope's latest proclamation?
Personally, I want to believe in a Higher Power that is loving, and accepting of all of His/Her children, regardles of race, creed, or sexuality. Because if you do believe the scriptures She/He created us all in Her/His image. But then we all know the Bible was written by man just as the Qu'ran and other religious tools.
But to get back to your post sometimes you have to admit that the onus of a misinterpretation is on the sender, not the receivers when multiple people receive it the same way.
So I ask that you be as accepting of my spiritual beliefs as I am of yours. Quoting Biblical scripture means nothing to me.
