If this house serves as the sorority's "home base" - even if it is unofficial - they should have cleared all that up with you before you agreed to move in.
It could help you or hurt you - help you in that you'll get to know them better. Hurt you if you start acting like you assume you'll get a bid from them because you live there.
Of course if they aren't doing COB this fall it's a moot point.
