University of Tulsa here. I don't think it was all that competitive. It was nothing like these big school stories I hear on this site (especially the SEC).

Summer (open) Rush was king, and very in-formal. Formal Rush sucked, and was a bit of an afterthought. This is for fraternity rush.

It was opposite for sororities. Their Formal Rush was a week long, live in the dorms for a week before school starts, do all the prefs, sprint to your house at the end...
