10. If you had a million dollars, what would you do?
Invest it. $1 million really isn't that much money anymore- it would be nice to buy a house, endow a scholarship, pay back loans, etc, but you really can't do all of that with just $1 million, or at least not in NYC. It's not enough to buy into a private hedge fund and I don't really trust the vast majority of venture capitalists or mutual fund managers. If I could find a viable small start-up company with potential and solid management, I'd invest in that. I would buy stock in the hedge funds going public, a couple of blue chips and purchase some CDs, keep my job and wait as long as it takes for it to grow into a few million. THEN I would start with some philanthropy (small private schools and charter schools in urban areas), and buy a house. If my investments were succesful, I would try to get involved with a philanthrop org like the Robin Hood Foundation

According to Forbes, the top 400 wealthy people are now ALL billionaires. How crazy is that?
