I really didn't like MTV's coverage of this battle. First, they made it seem like Jay-Z started it at the Summer Jam Concert. In actuality, the beef started about two years ago. Suposedly, Nas and Progidy kept talking slick about Jay-Z and then smiling in his face.
I have always been a Nas fan, but I think that he's losing this battle. Jay-Z is killing him. Like Jay said all Nas does is "rap rumors and innuendos." He's really not saying anything about Jay-Z.
I don't think that this will escalate to the level that Big and Pac did. They have both said that this is just music. Battling is one of the foundations of hip-hop. It's all in fun. Really, Big and Pac weren't battling because Biggie never responded to any of the things that Tupac said about him.
