POSSIBLE SPOILER?????????
Guys, this post contains information related to something I saw on TV today that referenced Harry Potter and my speculation on it. Don't read anymore if you don't want to ruin your reading experience by accident.
I caught the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest on ESPN this afternoon, and there was a Harry Potter reference. One of the contestants, Tim Janus or Eater X when introduced, turned around a posterboard he was holding to display the words "[name of one of the Big 3] Dies" on it directly to the camera. His entry on Wiki says this about it:
Quote:
In the 2007 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Championship, he held up a sign giving away the ending to the as yet, unreleased Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. On the other side, the sign read, "On the seventh day God created Hartford".

Perhaps the impending release of the final installment has my sarcasm and joke meter a little sensitive, but is there a possibility that this is anything more than just a lame joke? I mean, theoretically the books have been already printed, as reported by a news report displayed on MuggleNet. His wiki says that he's a day trader, but is there a chance someone he knows in a bookstore or the printing industry could have tipped him off? The whole Snape kills Dumbledore thing arose only 2 days before the HBP came out back in 2005, so while that was more at the 11th hour, its not like this leaking of major plot points is unprecedented.
I guess I'm just pissed that watching such a benign piece of crap TV might have ruined the book for me.
