That's an interesting question...I hadn't even picked up on that.
Generally (and I mean that
generally for most NPCs on all campuses - I have absolutely no knowledge of that chapter at Maryland and am not trying to talk about them specifically at all), when a very strong chapter closes I'd assume it was for a risk management issue. (Again, not saying that was the case for KKG at MD...just going off a tangent about what I personally would assume if I heard that an "elite" chapter of XYZ was closed on some campus.)
