Smile Question for Sorors who Teach ...

I'd like to share some good news, sorors. Now that I've finally secured that Music degree, I will be starting a new job in August as the Choral Director of a middle school here in the local public school district. So yay for me!! I'm really exited about the new job, albeit a bit nervous. The extra income will certainly be an incentive for me to finally transfer my active membership from General Membership back to my Chapter again. But anyway ...

I'd like to know how sorors feel about displaying sorority paraphernalia in your classroom? I don't mean wearing t-shirts or hanging up paddles or anything like that. Instead, I mean something more along the lines of a woodcut of AKA's letters on your shelves, an AKA paperweight on your desks, or maybe even a sculpture of our beloved sorority shield on the wall. Is that sort of thing frowned upon in the public schools? When I did substitute teaching last year, I saw that it was a common trend among sorors to display their love for their sorority right there in the classroom. I would love to do the same. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
