As an ex-Charlottean (1993-94), my favorite was Harris Teeter near South Park, which is a deluxe shopping mall. In a fancy area, for sure, but I'm a gourmet of sorts. Great deli/prepared food section.
Food Lion is just OK. Winn-Dixie was slightly better.
