New members really, really want letters. Even if they are homemade. Some ideas of items you can decorate with wood letters, paint pens, etc.:
Totebags
t-shirts
picture frames
corkboards
stuffed animal (mascot)
signs for their doors
buttons
containers for food, pencil boxes, misc. stuff
pin boxes
vases
I would buy a few store-bought things. It is important to try and find out what the other sororities are doing, too, to "keep up" with what everyone else is doing so your new members don't feel "left out."
