Lancome
Greetings Everyone,
I recently switched over from a drug store brand of make-up to Lancome and I was just thinking that it wasn't the line for me. When I decided I was ready to invest in some good make-up, I first went to a MAC counter in a mall in Maryland. I was treated horribly! The make-up artist hesitated to touch my skin, (I'm a woman of color) and she told me that since I had no previous experience with their line, I would have to set up a consultation on a Tuesday morning, which I thought was a little strange to say the least. She then literally told me that "There are a lot of make-up lines in the drug store that you can go and purchase because Mac is a little on the expensive side". Needless to say, I became pissed off, and instead of calling her exactly what she was, I wrote a letter to the general manager of the department store. So, my experiences with MAC have been very limited, and although I said I wasn't going to try it because of the way that ignorant woman treated me, I may change my mind at a later date. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I'm always searching for cleansers and masks as well. I wear Lancome now primarily, and since my light brown complexion has a few light spots, I have to use a lighter foundation and a slightly darker powder. It gives me a clean, tanned look. But, I think I'm going to try Prescriptives now! Also, does anyone know of any African American owned Spas in the Maryland/ Washington DC area??? My birthday is coming up, and I've been dying to experience the whole pamper treatment thing!
