What do you mean by secure? more self esteem? I wouldn't say so. Secure when going out at night, yes. I remember an American friend of mine who was from Texas and was in Germany over the summer. She loved it to be able to walk home in the middle of the night.... Of course there are unfortunately always exceptions to the rule.

What is the initial dating pattern like? Ar first dates like: lets go hang out at bar, or more likely to be dinners or such "couple like" activities.

Initial dating pattern - i'd say more like hanging out at a bar or go dancing in a club. later movies and a dinner night is very last. It is very common that both parties on the first dates pay their own bill.

Are women more agrsssive? i.e. More likely to make the first move?

Good question, I guess it depends. I heard it's different in the UK though, there women are making their moves. But don't take my word for it, it's a lot of hearsay
