So true! The chapters put the fear of God into you to avoid infractions! This included communication with disaffiliated sisters serving on Panhellenic! In 99, I was a PX and I remember the day before Greek Forum I was in the Union with a bunch of PXs and one of my chapter sisters who was also a close friend walked by me and
literally looked right through me!

I never thought much of this. We always referred to the groups as chapters. It wasn't until I worked with ADPi chapters in other places like California and Washington State that I began to hear the term "house" a lot more, and it bothered me-- a chapter makes me think of something belonging to a greater whole. A house is ... a house.
