LMAO!!!
This is a pretty funny thread!
My boyfriend calls his maternal grandparents mah-maw and pah-paw. It was the first time I had ever heard of that. When he spoke of them for the first time I had to have him repeat it several times b/c I thought it sounded so funny and just couldn't understand where that came from...woo, that was a run on sentence! Anyhow, I don't really like it myself. It sounds strange to me. I refer to both sets of Grandparents as Grandma and Grandpa. To differentiate them I simply add their last name.
As for the OCD thing...
I've never been officially diagnosed but I'd say it's pretty safe to refer to myself as being so. Not so much anymore, but when I was a little girl I was really obsessive about certain things. In the third grade I would change clothes as much as three times a day if I would get even a speck of dirt on me...not normal!
The whole foot thing is familiar too. Srunching of the toes...I can relate, but my kicker was the tying of the shoes. If one lace came undone and had to be tied, I'd tie the other one too. They had to match; equally as tight and bow in place.
Another funny thing I did up until high school was when I turned off the t.v. it would always be on the same channel and at a specific volume, usually volume 15...
Most of these quirks have passed. I'm not nearly as obsessive...still neurotic just less obsessive. Perhaps my OCD kept my neurosis in tact and since I'm not as obsessive anymore I've become more neurotic...LOL!!!
