It's pretty commonplace where I go to school. During pref, sometimes girls would take PNMs to the bedrooms because there isn't alot of room in the common areas of the house for every sister to pref their PNM. It's hard to tell a girl how much you want her to join XYZ over the voices of 50 other people in the parlor.
It wasn't creepy to us I guess because all of the other houses did the same. The doors of the rooms were left open also (closing them is a rush infraction & would actually be a little creepy).
