Well can you think of better words to label people so blindingly stupid and ignornant that they dismiss any science that doesn't fit into their literalist worship of a book? How else can I refer to people that think dinosaurs were on the ark, that evolution, biology, botany, genetics, geology, astrophysics, etc. are all the work of the devil? How else can I refer to people this fucking stupid and evil that they'd happily inflict this shit on their children and families? How else can I convey the disgust I revulsion I hold these fundie rejects in, whose twisting of science, archaeology, and doctrine places them in the same august compant as Nazi 'racial scientists'? and finally how else can I refer to ignorant dirtbags that defend this fucked up belief abandoned before the birth of Christ?
I use the term inbred because I pray that they are, at least that'd explain or excuse the obvious mental and intellectual failings leading them to believe this shit. I use the term redneck because that's what they are: highschool drop-out skids that revel in ignorance, despise learn'in, and denegrate all those who aren't exactly like them and their messed up little clan.

And here's the problem ... the "creation science" movement has become very sophisticated and popular. Continuing to think of its proponents in the above terms won't help you to understand it it or fight it. It will just alienate you and your position more from said individuals. So if that's something that you care about (and it may not be, I get that), it's important to consider that these individuals come in more shapes and sizes than you think.
