The problem is they don't understand that "Jr Greek" does not necessarily mean "Fraternity/Sorority". That's why you see Kappa Leaguers/Rhoers Club/Sigma Betas with canes and Omega Gents with gold boots, it's just some stuff that aint right.

12dn94dst explained what these mentoring groups are REALLY about/for and did it so eloquently. But I see you're resistant to the reality of the matter:

Within the context of the Greekdom, there's no such thing as "Jr. Greek." You're either Greek or you aren't. If you are too young to be in a GLO, you darn sure aren't in one or in a "Jr." version of one.

This is why mentoring organizations should be treated like YMCA-type groups. There is no need for any GLO formatting because the skills that many of us bring to the table aren't unique to our memberships in GLOs. I have always refused to teach young ladies, who I mentor through Delta, to emulate the traditions of GLOs. If they want to learn discipline and technique through stepping, they can do so if their school or church have a step team. If they want to be in a sorority, they can learn what that entails when they research it and/or get to college. Do I care which sorority they want to be in (if any)? NO.
