I use outlines from other schools pretty frequently. I also use exams from other schools (lots from SMU for some reason) to study quite frequently. The practice has served me well.
My finding has been that especially with your 1L/2L basic courses, what we all study is basically the same. Profs might put their own policy spin on it and that might be important for a class, but as far as getting the rules down, I'll take my outlines from a wide number of sources. Generally I write my own from my notes then go back and supplement it by reading what others have done.
It works for me.. It might work for someone else as well..
