Why did you join Sigma? Share your rush story :)
I was reading my rush thread from back when I going through informal. It made me think about why I joined.
I knew I wanted to go Greek, so I checked the paper (where all the sororities advertise spring rush). I had seen Sigmas around campus and in class, and they seemed like nice girls. So I decided to go to one of their open events.
The first night I went to the house, I got this feeling. Every girl I talked to made me feel so at home. I decided on day one that I wanted to be a Sigma.
The girls were all so friendly. I loved everything about it. RPM was especially cool to me because I spent alot of time in the hospital as a kid.
Every time I got asked back I was SO excited! I kept meeting different girls and they made me feel so at home. Every event was so fun and the more I learned about Sigma, the more I hoped I'd get a bid.
The night I got my bid was the highlight of sophomore year. I had been going to events all week, so I was starting to wonder if I was going to get a bid or not. The recruitment director called me and asked if I could come to the house for another event. I agreed, even though I had no idea what they could want.
I was surprised later that night with my bid & a goodie bag! The rest is history.
So ladies, I'd love to hear your story of how you came to be a sister!
