12/14 chapters at my school are "dormers", including mine. I don't really see it as being very different, or causing more arguments or anything. To me, I think i would have more roommate issues if I had to worry about waking her up at 2am (or vice versa). The house still has a capacity and we still have "full house" point - and it's still a bad thing to not meet it, lol. The only different between a dormer and a non-dormer is where your bed is located.
