I know this is the technology age. And, maybe it's just me, but I find it extremely rude to talk on your cell phone at the table, especially at a restaurant.

I recently went out to dinner with a group of people that I worked with. And, two of them actually held conversations at the dinner table . When my cell phone rang, I politely excused myself and left the restaurant to take the call. And, I only did this because it was very important. Normally, I won't answer my phone and just call whoever it was back later.

Well, when I got back to the table, one of the guys that I was there with asked why I had gone through all of the trouble just to answer my phone. When I told him why, he said that I should "just loosen up." Excuse me, but when did loosening up become confused with being rude.

Alright, I'm done venting now
