But if I had to pick one it would be that all people get judged, evaluated, etc. for everything they do, as individuals whether it's a mortgage, an apartment, sorority membership, or shopping in a store. Seeing it regarded as ok on a microlevel implies that it's ok on the macrolevel or that it's some sort of tit for tat thing.
That said, I never really tried to bring this discussion up the macrolevel, but went with it when other posters did to some extent.
