The approach to business is very Latin/European in that no only do you need skills -- but you need charisma, looks, and connections to. After 5 years, I'm starting to feel like it's not for me....but then again...I love living here...the weather and how everything is built. It's really feels like the "Magic City" compared to where I grew up. To cross sky blue water and sparkling palm trees on your way to work everyday is so super. If only I could bring the midwestern attitudes down here as well...it would be heaven!

Oh wow you live in Miami!? My sorority is having our national convention there in August! We should totally meet up!
I'm sure living in FL is quite the experience, esp in Miami. I would love to live there for a little bit though and see how it is. I have traveled to many places in FL (Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Lakeland, Ft. Walton Beach, St. Augustine.. I think that's it). I've never been to Miami though, so I'm excited to go this summer.
Yea, about grad school, it took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted something that would get me a job working w/ college students. So I'm doing the Higher Education Administration program at my school. It's a great program and I'm shocked by how fast this year flew by! But that's why I wanted to go full time b/c I wanted to get it over and done with so that I could find a job and just focus on that. It's been quite a challenge going from full time work to full time school, but I really feel I made the best decision.
