And if he was yelling at Kim, that would make sense. But taking your anger out on a confused, torn, and used child who is in the middle of a battle between both sides of her foundation by cursing at her and calling her names is not acceptable, and it is not straightening her out. Trust me, a similar situation happened to me when I was older than 12, and our relationship will probably never recover from it.
