Marathons are 26.2 miles. Many marathons also have Half-Marathon options, which are- you guessed it- 13.1 miles. A full marathon generally takes a first timer 3:50:00-5:00:00 if he/she runs or does a higher cycle run/walk cycle.

I am intrigued byt his half marathon deal- I can't currently imagine myself doing 26 miles, but 13...that might be doable with some (a lot of) work.
