It's interesting that there was some earlier news about the shooter and his motivation, but the officials are saying that they can't positively identify him right now. (Partially because he didn't carry any ID)

According to a someone familiar with the layout of the Norris building, it's a really basic L shape with one hallway with classrooms all along it. The windows are too narrow to get out of. These kids were sitting ducks.
