I honestly didn't know they could be public events so i was TRULY honored. The guest speaker was one of the charter members of Lambda Zeta Chapter (American University) and she was great. She really broke down a lot of AKA-specific terms for the non-Greeks and non-AKAs in the room (Boule, Basileus, etc.) I had a great time.

2. Yes, it is/was at the discretion of the chapters. The luncheon after we crossed was closed (members of AKA only).
3. ETA: If you get sick, it's because it was YOUR decision to go out there. If you are recruited, you can ALWAYS decline.
