Freedom
This quote is from good old Abe Lincoln, as he made an address to an Attorney's convention in Baltimore on May 17th, 1865:
"When I hear a white man speak grandly about and argue for
the importance of the existence of slavery, I quickly find the impulse to
ask him to try on the shackles, chains and laurels himself, to see if he
can find a peaceful home there" - Abraham Lincoln
This next quote was one that I heard my high school football Coach say during a speech to us then Seniors as we met with him to sign our letters of intent for our college selections. The cool part is that our parents were there with us and our school made it a big deal and what not. This quote will stay with me forever.
"Ego is clearly the world's most destructive and worst narcotic. It destroys a man without the use of anything tangible like a pipe or a needle, but the chaos that stems from it is greater in force than that of any drug that exist"
- Coach Tom Page
