God was looking out for both of us. If I had been a boy my middle name was going to be "Barcardi".
Yep, after the drink. My mom though it had a nice ring to it. I told her I know they had to be drunk to think of that crazy stuff!!
I also have a distant cousin who happened to be in the hospital having her baby at the same time my grandmother was in the hospital. My grandmother made my mother and me go see her (even though we had never met the girl--we knew her grandmother though). When we asked the baby's name she said "Tra... uhhh I mean Tre....naw...that ain't it. Here....It's on this piece-a paper!" We looked at her like she had lost her mind! How are you going to name your child something and YOU can't even pronounce it?!?!?! Her "reason" was one of her friends named him and she "forgot" how to pronounce it. "But it's pretty, though"
I'm sure he will be one of those little kids that will get to school and not answer to his name when role is called because he has been called "Man" or "Peanut" his entire life!
