That's even the proper size for the time!! At my house, I have a photo of an early Adelphean (c.1860) wearing her Adelphean badge as a barrette in her hair. I imagine that's why there's a slight curve to this one. Thank you sooooooo much for posting this photo!!

gorgeous setting!! I've never seen one like that - does the pin "swing" at all, or is it stationary? I have a pin necklace, but the pin can be taken off, and it's set on a larger, plain gold diamond. As much as I love it, the setting pales in comparison to yours!
