I went and saw this last night with my cousin. It was pretty good and not really that scary. If anything, I was rooting for Hannibal to "get the bad guys" (though it's not necessary to eat their faces....eeeewww). It's a pretty good story about revenge although witnessing a traumatic event as a boy (aged 7, maybe) made him eff'ed up and turned him into a monster.
Gaspard Ulliel is a pretty good actor in the movie and carries the role well. He is definitely creepy a la Crispen Glover!
