This is sometimes true with sororities too! I transferred schools and met up with the chapter on my new campus. One of my sisters from the school I transferred from called me up and said, "We learned the wrong handshake!" I guess our president went to national convention and got a surprise when giving the handshake
. The handshake we learned was very similar to the true handshake, but it was off a bit. I gave a disclaimer at my first formal chapter at my new school. Luckily for me, they thought it was funny
