Unfortunately this is not true.

Alpha chapter at Lafayette is not currently active. Its gone inactive a couple of times over the years, our old continually active chapter is Delta at Auburn University. However the administration at Lafayette has been very helpful and understanding about maintaining our history there and if we had students interested in restarting the chapter there, I am sure they would be welcomed back on. There was an effort a little over a year ago to recolonize, but that effort didn't work (one possible reason is the external pressure to get the active for our fraternity's 75th anniversary)
