Regarding Emily H. Butterfield, I recently bought a book she published in 1931 "College Fraternity Heraldry." (I bought it off eBay--I've always been interested in heraldry.)
After I got the info I needed I gave it to an AGD in Canada. (I knew it would mean a lot to her....she was so excited!) The book is out of print and very rare, but you might be able to find one out somewhere if you're interested.

Wow I would LOVE to see something like that! She was an authority on heraldry and designed our coat of arms and...(a little known fact) also designed TKE's coat of arms. She was also one of the first female architects in Michigan!! I'm really kinda obsessed with her, but she exemplified a modern woman of the time and AGD so well, how could I not love her!?!? What sorority are you in?
