That is a somewhat similar story to the one from my fraternity:
We were founded by two chapters that formed an association ("cartell")and that were located at Breslau, province of Silesia (now Wrocwaw, Poland)(founded in 1853) and Munich (founded in 1852). Both chapters still exist even though, one is relocated to the city of Muenster after WW2. There are two older chapters from 1844 and 1847 that joined in later. Both are still existing at the place of their foundation as well.
