To answer your question....
YOU'RE NOT OLD-FASHIONED!!!! If some people consider you to be any such thing, it's only b/c they leave their home training at home on too many occasions.  I'm 24, and I was always taught that manners and morals don't cost anything and anyone who thinks it takes too much energy to act like a lady or gentleman in public needs to be schooled on the ways of our ancestors!!! Strict discipline is in need for those people.
