As a Democrat, I hope we find someone other than Hillary Clinton to carry the party's nomination. She is a polarizing figure, and ability to win aside, that is not what the country needs right now -- we've had enough of polarizing presidents lately.

I'm also not sure that I like the idea of the "first spouse" being a former president -- just seems too frought with potential problems to me. I voted for Clinton and liked him as president -- didn't always like his personal choices but at least we didn't have a huge budget deficit for a while. But I'm not sure I like the idea of him as "First Gentleman."

Besides, by the time the election is held, there will only have been two families in the White House for 20 years -- the Bushes and the Clintons. Do we really want to make that 24 (or 28) years? I think we need some new blood. Now if some blood would just come along that I could get excited about.
