ROFL. I think it is a girl thing. When I was in college in Iowa where it gets DARN cold, we would NEVER wear coats or jackets out to the bars. We would walk three or four blocks to the bars, freezing our butts off, figuring that by the time we were walking home, we'd be too drunk to feel how cold it was.
There were no coat checks or anything, so you just froze rather than having to deal with a coat all night. Of course, I was in college back in the dark ages where we did carry purses -- I understand that that's not really done any more.
