Postcards cost 24 cents apiece to mail, not to mention the cost of the postcard itself and the large amount of time involved to address them and write them. That can add up to be a lot, particularly for chapters who don't have a big budget. And time-wise, it's THE busiest time of the year. That's a lot of time and money.
