Welcome to the world Neophyte! I'm not sure when exactly you crossed the crucible like sands, but I'm sure that you may already be experiencing and learning that pledging is the precursory work to the real work that must be done now that you are an ALPHA Man. Like I was taught, and like I will forever teach, "when it comes to operating as a Bruh, excellence is in being, not in becoming". Boy, I remember the day that my Sands and I got picked up. It was October 9th, 1990, during Homecoming weekend. There must have been damned near 100 Bruhs on the yard that weekend. Those cats came from all over. I met Big Brothers from Univ. Cincy, Xavier, Murray State, Ohio State, Ball State, Purdue, Howard Univ., Univ. Illinois, all over the state of Ohio, man, not to mention the many doggone Old Heads that were birthed at our chapter. They had us meet in a small broiler room in the Liberal Arts building. We were blindfolded once we arrived at the door, and from that moment on, it was serious bizness mang. The cool part about our chapter is, that we haven't forgotten the APE ritual. I feel for the Alphas who never got to experience that travail. Anyway, I digress Bruh. Boy, how those college days swiftly passed. Ain't no biz like ALPHA biz mang, so put your foot into,"Roc", and make us, those of us who came before you, proud fella.
