My family tradition is to hold money in your right hand....preferably whatever the ending year is....2000 (My Mom gave us $20 and let us keep it) 2001....$1 ....2002 $2...and so on. We also don't do any laundry or housecleaning. The next time we do houseclean, we have to have a new broom and a new box of salt. I don't understand the salt thing....
I just do it 'cause that's what Nana said to do.
My boyfriend and his family usually have a big dinner....it's a Haitian thing....Gotta Love 'Em!
