I was a Rho Chi. All NPC chapters should do their best to make sure that they have a Rho Chi representing them during formal recruitment. I also went through formal recruitment. But this makes no difference. You are no more or no less a sister depending on when you went thru recruitment...I say go for it. It was a lot of fun and personally, why are your sisters acting like you are about to commit a crime because you want to proudly represent them? Being a Rho Chi is a high profile job and as long as you know that you and your organization will be held accountable for your behavior, go for it!
