I personally feel the best way is that if a person applies for internet, the internet company has to screen and do a background check. And if found that person is a sex offender, his/her IP will be automatically restricted and not allowed on certain websites. Of course that won't help if the person uses their friend's computer...
Or maybe implant a chip into their body and whenever they are near a computer it automatically shuts down? Ummm...I'm thinking too much...
I hope it works, but after all, the myspace user has to protect themselves by locking it to friends only and carefully adding people.

That's all fine and dandy but what happens when it's a false statutory rape case? A guy I was friends with from 2nd grade to graduation got accused of stat rape by his girlfriends parents because they didn't like him. Now he's a sex offender. Should he be banned because he was an 18 yr old boy having sex with his freshman (or soph?) girlfriend and his parents wanted revenge? There would have to be a detailed description of what would be cause for banning. If there were, I'd be totally for it.
