First of all, Y did I feel really dumb taking this test . . .
I was pronouncing words and sounds over and over again .. . kinda like when a child is learning to read.
Anyway . . the test says I have a Philly accent
. . .Funny enough though I'm from CT originally, and have never been to Philly . . ever
. . Although I must say that people have asked me, especially when I was in H.S, where I was from because they though I had an accent. Some thought I was from NY. While the New Yorkers I've met since I've moved here definately know I'm not from around here from the way I speak. I was told "Ur definately NOT a burough chick" whatever that means.
I always chalked it up to my Northeast mixing with the West Indian in me . . oh well I 'm confused
